Festival Information: The Southern Heritage Festival and Craft Fair is a celebration of the traditional arts, crafts, music, food, and homesteading skills of the rural south. Our Festival will be an interactive “educational event” intended to demonstrate and preserve the many facets of our Southern Heritage through demonstrations of the rural lifestyle and homesteading skills that were such an integral part of our past. The annual Festival will be centered around the recreated old log cabin in the pecan grove on the campus of O’Berry Center. The log Cabin features the completed works of Berry Towne Crafts, a group of Artisan Studios that include pottery, woodworking, soap making, and other traditional crafts. The Studios provide creative work opportunities to the individuals who reside at O’Berry Center. This Festival will allow us to come together to share our common culture and heritage as well as provide our residents a broader exposure to the Arts, Crafts, Food and Entertainment that make our community special.
